Abstract
Die interdisziplinäre und internationale Konferenz
„Cut’n Paste the Body. Körper und
Geschlecht in Zeiten ihrer technologischen
Cut’n Paste the Body. Body and Gender in Times of their Technological Reproducibility. International and Interdisciplinary Conference, 24–25 October 2014, LMU Munich The interdisciplinary and international conference “Cut’n Paste the Body. Body and Gender in Times of their Technological Reproducibility” addressed the question of whether we can (or perhaps need to) overcome the “body- as-fate”. The contributions used the ambivalences of body modifications and body technologies to discuss the self, which is able to design the body as a “raw material”.
