Marilyn Manson as a public figure represents exemplarily aspects of goth subculture: Aspects of life that shall be denied as not belonging to a fulfilled and happy life from a normative point of view are being integrated in a way that is marked by pleasure. Patsy l‘Amour laLove uses psychoanalytic approaches to the integration of chaos, of pain and failure in Manson‘s recent works.
